Acting Out God’s Will
Karen had always been passionate about her faith, often asking, “How can I serve you, Lord?”
She loved acting but struggled to see how her talents could honour God. But all that changed after attending an Ignite event led by Pastor Billy in Peru. It was there God lit a fire in her heart to create a child abuse prevention campaign.
Inspired, Karen envisioned a joyful children's party to raise awareness about child abuse while sharing the gospel. She gathered a team from her church, and together, they developed an evangelism program centered around the global “All Against Child Abuse” day on November 19. When they presented their idea to the municipality of Surquillo, the local authorities loved it and offered them the municipal auditorium.
Families from Karen’s neighbourhood filled the auditorium, and at the close of the program, Karen led a prayer of faith, with many children and families giving their lives to Christ and receiving a Chispa (Spark) magazine. The event was a complete and wonderful success!
But the boldness didn’t end there—Karen and her team took remaining magazines to the streets, sharing the gospel with even more families.
Through the Ignite event, Karen fully ignited her desire to serve, and her bold faith resulted in a powerful moment of transformation for many.
